Catherine Falls

Bedford

Droog Fort

Dolphin’s Nose

A must-visit spot in Coonoor, it offers expansive views of the Nilgiris. The view is enthralling when the mountain slopes are covered in lush cover and unending plains. Hidden Valley, Coonoor

Ooty, Coimbatore, Kochi and Bengaluru are the closest cities to Coonoor. Ooty to Coonoor is only half an hour away. While, if you’re travelling from Bengaluru, it can take about 6 hours.

The winters and early summer days are perfect for exploring this hill station. So October to March is the best time to visit Coonoor for a family trip. The rainy season from July to September is also ideal as it transforms into a paradisical landscape with gushing waterfalls, foggy weather and clouds residing on hilltops.
