A weekend in Goa

Sometimes, leaving the city’s hustle for some time off in your luxury holiday home is all you need even if it’s just for a weekend. Time is definitely no constraint when it comes to spending some leisurely time in the coastal paradise of Goa. From the calm of the beaches, the greenery, to the buzzing nightlife and the night markets; a weekend in Goa can also be refreshingly eventful. This is how we suggest how to do it.

Mornings by the shore

When your itinerary states limited days in Goa, it has to include the best of the place. Given that, long walks by the Goan beaches, a quick swim, beach activities and of course, treating yourself to the cuisine at the beach shacks are some ideal ways to start your day right.

Now, while some prefer beaches bustling with crowd and activities, others may yearn for nothing but the crashing waves at the shore. If the former is on your list then Baga beach, Candolim beach and Calangute beach are a few to name. If you’re looking for the latter then Agonda beach for some solitude, Ashwem for turtles on the sand and Morjim beach for some relaxation are our top suggestions.

Living local when the sun is overhead

Noons can get unfavourable for beach activities and sight-seeing. Perhaps, that is when one could truly live local, away from the sun with Portuguese interiors, traditional cuisine and other facilities that serve justice to the land.  Soak in the whole holiday vibe; settle in like a local in your Lohono villa in Goa amidst tall coconut trees and the sound of crashing waves.

A heritage walk in the evening

Taking a walk down the Goan heritage, which blends European culture and Indian traditions seamlessly, can easily be a part of your weekend itinerary. Bom Jesus Basilica, one of the oldest churches in the country will transport you to the colonial era and Fort Aguada and Cabo De Rama Fort will guarantee some historical intrigue within you. Lastly, Chapora fort will blow your mind with a dip into natural view around and some Bollywood nostalgia.

Unwind until the wee hours

After exploring the tranquility, the heritage, the culture along with the whole Lohono experience in your luxury villa in Goa, your day is better concluded with the energetic parties at the beaches and the clubs.

Having found a home away from home paired with our craft of developing properties for sale and rent in Goa, we had the chance to explore the land beyond the basics. The very reason why we’re sure Goa is a suitable destination for both, an elaborate and a quick getaway.
