M2M Ferries has considerably eased the travel from Mumbai to Alibaug. Within an hour, you can reach the Mini Goa of Maharashtra. But now, you might as well reach Goa too via a ferry ride. M2M Ferries is launching a Mumbai-Goa ro-ro service on its newly acquired RoPax vessel. While the permissions are in order, here’s what we know so far and how it is good news for travellers.
M2M Ferries operates daily ferry services between Mumbai and Mandwa. It can complete a Mumbai-Goa sail in 6.5 hours! A RoPax vessel can accommodate passengers and vehicles. The ferry service will run from Mazgaon Dock to Panaji Jetty Dock. This vessel can carry about 620 passengers and 60 vehicles.
The Mumbai-Goa ferry service operated by M2M Ferries is scheduled to commence on August 26, 2025.
The fare structure of the Mumbai-Goa ferry is yet to be decided. But as per reports, M2M Ferries is seeking government fuel subsidies and tax concessions to keep ticket prices affordable for travellers.
The Mumbai-Goa RoRo ferry offers a significant advantage for leisure travelers heading to Goa. If you’re planning a holiday, you can bring your private vehicle, saving on rental costs while enjoying the convenience of having your own transport.
Instead of enduring a 10-hour drive, you can sail to Goa in just 6 to 6.5 hours, making the journey quicker and more relaxing. Simply drive to the Ferry Wharf in Mazgaon, board the ferry, and enjoy a smooth sail. Plus, traveling by car allows you to carry more luggage than a flight would permit, which is perfect for longer stays in Goa. For business travellers, flight would always be a convenient option to get to Goa.
You can save on travel time, enjoy the endless ocean on a comfortable sail and arrive by the beaches for a tropical summer getaway! To make the most of your family vacation, don’t forget to check out beautiful pool villas by Lohono Stays.
