Jhirna Zone

Corbett Museum 

To learn more about Sid Edward James Corbett and his life journey, after whom the national park was named, head to the Corbett Museum. Located near Kaladungi village, it once used to be his residential place. 

The museum is a showcase of his personal belongings including his hunting gear, attire, letters and photos. As you go through his life journey, you will also see how he built India’s first national reserve as part of his conservation efforts. Garjiya Devi Temple 

If you want to add a slice of spirituality to your visit, on the outskirts of the Jim Corbett National Park is a temple of Goddess Garjiya Devi. She is said to be the presiding deity of the region and the temple is on a tall rock in the Kosi river bank. There is a mystery to it, as despite being within the river, the temple remains unaffected by any floodwaters. It is said to have blessings from Devi Parvati, thus a lot of tourists go here.

Naini Lake

Ranikhet 

A name that loosely translates to Field of the Queen’, it is a heavenly paradise. This hill station near Almora is 3 hours away (77 km) from Jim Corbett. Abundantly covered in lush meadows, pretty wildflowers and a thicket of trees, Ranikhet lets you absorb the sublime nature. You can enjoy trekking, camping and stargazing activities here. Bhimtal 

Less popular than Nainital but match its level of serenity, Bhimtal is a one of the beautiful places to visit near Jim Corbett. Sparsely populated, it retains a cleaner atmosphere to indulge in the Kumaoni region. An idyllic lake surrounded by lush mountains forms a center of attraction here.
